Weddings | Brit & Mark | Elm Bank, Wellesley, MA

Brit & Mark’s Elm Bank wedding in Wellesley, MA was the definition of a timeless summer garden celebration, lush florals, elegant details, heartfelt family moments, and one crazy flower bloom that made the day uniquely theirs.

There’s a reason couples are drawn to Elm Bank; the gardens are spectacular! Their ceremony took place surrounded by vibrant summer florals surrounding the antique fountain in the Italian garden complemented by florals by Illume Floral. The combination of blooms surrounding everyone made for a fairytale setting.

One of the sweetest highlights was their dog Tate. He was freshly groomed, extra fluffy, and clearly aware he was part of something important. Tate, donning his bowtie, joined in the celebration and stole the show during portraits. Including him added such a personal, joyful layer to the day. He also cheerfully made the rounds during cocktail hour.

Family played a big role throughout the day, especially during the ceremony and reception. Brit’s nieces served as flower girls, and they were an absolute delight, clearly adored by everyone and unknowingly starring in some of the most candid, heart-melting moments of the day.

Later at the reception, one of the most emotional moments unfolded when Mark’s brother performed a song he had written specifically for the couple. It was heartfelt and incredibly moving. Even as a vendor, these are the moments that stop me in my tracks and remind me why I love what I do.

Oddly enough, Brit & Mark’s wedding happened to coincide with the rare bloom of a Titan Arum, commonly known as the corpse flower, in the greenhouse. This massive flower blooms for only 24–32 hours and is famous for its… unforgettable & unpleasant scent. While not exactly romantic in the traditional sense, it was too rare not to commemorate. We took a quick snap just before it’s official bloom later that evening.

The reception flowed seamlessly thanks to thoughtful coordination by Kristina Kuusik and incredible catering by William Ference Catering. As the evening unfolded, Hip Shot Band kept the energy high and the dance floor packed, creating a joyful, celebratory atmosphere that carried well into the night.

A day this smooth and meaningful doesn’t happen without an incredible team:

Brit & Mark’s day was a perfect example of how meaningful details, family connections, and a stunning garden setting can come together to create something truly special. If you’re planning an Elm Bank wedding or another garden-inspired celebration I’d love to hear from you.
