Sara & George’s Literary inspired wedding at the iconic Boston Public Library was everything it promised to be. Set against the grand architecture and marble staircases of the BPL on a gorgeous summer day, the details and moments were all as meaningful and heartfelt as they were beautiful!
I first met George when he reached out looking for a photographer to capture his proposal to Sara. From that very first conversation, it was clear how much thought and care he put into creating meaningful moments for her.
The day was filled with emotional highlights, especially the first looks. Sara shared a heartfelt first look with her dad at the Raffles Hotel Boston. As she descended one of the hotel’s jaw-dropping staircases into the Blind Duck bar, her dad saw her for the first time. Tears flowed freely from Sara, her father, and yes, even from me behind the camera.
Shortly after, Sara and George shared their own first look on the stunning lobby staircase at Raffles. The setting was as breathtaking as the rest of the day.
Sara and George’s love of literature shined through in the most creative ways. Cocktail hour centerpieces featured carefully styled stacks of books and their seating chart was designed using a vintage Dewey Decimal System catalog shelf.
The florals by Table & Tulip were truly outstanding, adding texture and color that elevated every space with effortless elegance.
One of the most unforgettable moments of the ceremony came when George surprised everyone by delivering his vows first in English to Sara, and then again in Spanish so her family, who had traveled from South America, could fully share in the moment.
Working with Sara and George from the proposal, to their engagement photos, through their wedding day was incredibly special. I love when I get to document a couple’s love story full circle. It is truly an honor!
